Default 2 Issues need help

First i wanna say that i'm new to the forum. Second i wanna say that i have done most if not all things for my issue. Now my issues,I'm getting
9 Blinks on C.E.L(which is 9..P1381,P1382..CYP Sensor). Dunno what
that is. Second the D4 light blinks 9. Dunno what that means. Also the
speed doesn't display on the gauge along with the tranny not shifting right. I assume that some how this is all related some how. I am mechanically inclind to do the wrench work. I am new to automatics since my other car are manuels. This is my wifes car not mine. Any and all help is apperciated.

CYP sensor = cylinder-position sensor
That's inside the distributor, and the sensor isn't really available without buying the whole distributor. (Check junkyards?)

Check wiring connections to the distributor. Might be as simple as dirty/loose/corroded connections.

9 blinks of the D4 is something about not shifting 2nd-3rd & the lockup clutch not engaging. But I'm not much of an auto-trans guru.

Since your car is OBD-II, an OBD-II code reader or scanner should be able to read any transmission trouble code(s) and not just P1381 and P1382. Many parts stores will read the codes for no charge.

P1381 and P1382 is generally for the CYP sensor. The CYP sensor is part of the distributor housing. The distributor housing (less: coil, igniter, rotor, and cap) can be purchased instead of the whole distributor.

Like JimBlake stated, check for dirty/loose/corroded connections.

For P1381, also check the installation of the ignition coil shield. It can also be caused by a faulty diode in the alternator. See below Honda Service News.

Found my problems out and what they are. Fist one was CYP, which is a sensor inside the Dizzy. Spent $55 on a used dizzy from the junkyard. Took care of that issue. Second was tranny code P1381 and P1382. This was due to a sensor on the top backside of the tranny not being connected. It was softset, which is in but not being held in by the lock clip. So as of now there are no codes that are popping up. Before there were no leaks, after driving around a couple of days there are. Just got to find out from where. To JimBlake and redbull-1 thanks for the HELP
