2000 accord 4cyl vtec soleniod

Default 2000 accord 4cyl vtec soleniod

hey guys, just wondering what are the signs for the soleniod to be not working properly.

another question is where is it located and does it need to be looked after like fluids.... or cleaning. thanks for your help

Its bolted on the cylinder head on the firewall side towards the passenger side of the car.

It is run off of oil pressure, so there are no fluids to change. There is a gasket with a screen on it that may get plugged up.

If it's not working, you should get a check-engine light with one or more of the codes P1253, P1257, P1258, or P1259.
