2000 Ex 4 Cylinder Codes
Hi,
The check engine light came on recently so I took it to dealer to get the codes scanned. Looks like P1167 and P1739 came up, HO2S1 sensor and 3rd clutch pressure switch. Is the HO2S1 sensor the one on the exhaust manifold?
When I look up the parts to buy so I can replace them, many different ones come up. Is there a way to know which parts will work?
Thanks for any help!

HO2S1 is on the exhaust manifold. P1167 means there is a problem in the heater circuit. The real problem could be the sensor, the wiring, or possibly the PCM.
Replacing the sensor may not fix your error code. You can unplug the sensor, and test the resistance between two wires on the sensor when unplugged. You want to test the resistance where the blu and red wires from the engine harness on the sensor.
I'd suggest looking up the OEM part number for your car on a site like hondapartsnow.com. You can use that number on densoaftermarket.com without the dashes (-) in the cross-reference search to get the Denso part number.

P1167 is listed as being only for the ULEV engine.
So make sure you're looking at the correct part number - that sensor is different than the corresponding sensor for the non-ULEV engine. People have said that some aftermarket parts catalogs incorrectly show the same number for either engine.

Thanks for the responses. I found the air fuel sensor, looks like it is for the ULEV 4 cylinder:

The 3rd clutch pressure switch is a little more difficult to find. Found this 2nd/3rd switch on RockAuto, would this one work? Again, 2000 EX 4 cylinder - F23A4 - Auto transmission.
PA CARGO 98927A
Automatic trans.; Honda; 2nd & 3rd; Black Connector Also replaces Grey Connector
Is there a need to drain the transmission fluid when replacing this switch? Haven't done much work on transmissions but it doesn't seem too complicated.
Thanks for the help!

I don't think you'd need to drain the fluid. Just disconnect the electrical connector, unscrew the sensor, then replace with the new sensor. Have a pan to catch any fluid. If you lose a lot of fluid, then check the fluid level according to the owner's manual. Add fluid if needed.
