Hello , we will be working on the car next week i been driving it like it is (even if i dont want to i have to get to work somehow) , and have a few questions..

Should i just replace the head gasket / get the heads machined or whatever else is needed or should i do a complete rebuild ?

rebuild kit on rockauto is
375.59
DNJ ENGINE COMPONENTS Part # EK214M EX Model; EX-R Model; LX Model; SE Model; Master w/ Oil Pump & Timing Belt Or Timing Kit
Choose Size:
$375.79

or if i do just head gaskets should i use HONDA OEM , or aftermarket?

i called my local honda dealership and they told me itll bee 300 for the entire gasket set (not sure if it includes bolts)

or aftermarket SEALED POWER (same as fel-pro after researching the brand)
SEALED POWER Part # 2601830 PermaDry® molded rubber valve cover & oil pan gskts. incl. PermaDry® molded rubber valve cover & oil pan gskts. incl.; Premium valve stem seals incl. (Only 1 Remaining)

When you did the leakdown test, did you determine if the air pressure was leaking past the rings, head gasket, intake valves, or exhaust valves? That would help identify why you are losing pressure in one cylinder. There is a good video on ericthecarguy about how to do this test.

hello ,
my buddy told me he suspects head gasket , we could not hear air either like in this video at first but then we felt it on the cylinder next to cylinder 3 witch is the one with the 100%leak and very low compression

Unlikely a bad HG would result in 30 lbs. compression. More likely a burned or bent valve. Pull the head off and see what you have. If it's just the valve(s) then have a local machine shop do a valve job/resurface. I've had good luck with Fel-Pro HGs.

If worse comes to worse and you find problems on the bottom end, don't rebuild the engine. This generation Accords had notoriously weak automatic transmissions resulting in lots of relatively low mileage engines sitting around in junk yards. Your local Craig's List might turn up something in the $300 - $400 range.

Hey Roader thanks for your advice, I hope to get the head pulled off this week by Wednesday , and have a idea of what's going on in there. I looked on CL and can't find anything good with low miles, I want to do a a straight swap with ULEV engine , anywhere u know to order an engine from in CA?
