Default 2000 Honda Accord SE AC Problem

First Summer with my Accord SE(high mileage), noticed when I select A/C mode when driving it's OK, but when I stop at red lites,ect.. engine begins to run abit rough( rpm guage shows steady) I suspect possible compressor showing its age? Maybe system has low refrigerant Charge ( noticed too that it does not blow that Cold?) not that sure where to Go with this, I deselect A/C at red Lites, ect. then select A/C again when driving to get by for now.

This is a new problem unrelated to original post, so I moved to new thread.

Stumble when AC compressor engages is probably caused by dirty Idle Air Control Valve (IACV) not fully compensating for added compressor load. Clean IACV ports and throttle plate/bore carefully w/ throttle body cleaner.

Have AC pressures (high and low) checked. You are likely low on refrigerant charge, but may have a leak. Look for oil/dirt buildup at connections, condensor face, compressor rotation plane. If you see oil/dirty buildup, this is likely leak source.

good luck
