Hello jim,
The check engine light code say P1706 would that be the tranmission neutral switch or faulty wiring.

The 1706 is for the trans range switch. Several things to check/test before replacing anything.

I had an engine light P1259. What should I do to fixed the problem ? 2000 honda accord ex 2.3 L

Check the oil level first...if close to being due, change it.

Reset and see if it comes back......then we can get into more.

mr. poorman I had the oil change 3 days ago and the level is fine and also reset it , the engine light not going away the problem been at least 10 months.

Can you check for continuity between the pins on the vtech oil pressure switch?
