Default 2000 Turn Signal Bulb Holder

I inherited a 2000 EX (4-cyl) from my son who had driven over a shredded tire at 70 mph. The driver's side front quarter panel was dented but more importantly, the turn signal bulb and its holder is missing from the back of the light assembly. Basically, there's a circular hole where the bulb was located.

Can the bulb holder be reinserted into position and the holder connected to the rest of the wiring? Or is it better to buy another whole front light assembly? If I purchased another assembly, is there a reliable alternative to getting the OEM part?

If you mean part #8 in the picture, you should be able to buy that from a dealer. Discount on-line places might be cheaper but unless you're getting a bunch of other stuff the shipping cost makes up for the discount.

Thanks, Jim. I think that parts 4, 7, and 8 are all gone. There's just a hole in the panel at the back of the light assembly.

I notice that after-market sellers have whole light assemblies for $50. They're made in China or Taiwan. Are they okay, or is it better to find a used OEM part?

Part #4 is the gasket around the main-headlamp bulb (#3) so if you didn't lose the main headlamp then it's probably still there.

Make sure you know whether the aftermarket light assembly includes the bulb holders. What if you JUST get part #1 (or 5 for the other side)? I don't know how good they are - how long they last before the clear lens gets all yellow & crappy.
