Default 2001 & 2004 Accords

Wierd deal, can't go in to much detail, but 2 cars both been sitting up for 1-1.5 yrs, helping sell them..if they have been sitting what do you do to make the gas "good"?? Any additives, Techron? HEET?, got one going yesterday (both have 3.0 VTECS) it had 1/2 tank of old gas in it. Let me know what you think...other than draining the tank...which I really don't want to do. Do they have a plug underneath? I will go look when I can. Just checking.

Most Hondas have a drain plug, but I don't own those years.

The time to put stuff into the gas is BEFORE you store the car. Stabil or something like that will keep it from going bad. You said it's got 1/2 tank, so maybe(?) diluting the old gas with fresh will help?

Yeah, I know they should have done this before...I put it in my lawn mower every winter. It is idling right now and no check engine light. Everything seems to be working, I am going to fill it up with premium unleaded Chevron. Already added Techron bottle to it. Next step will be the Honda dealership, it is still under warranty and let them look at it...not my $$! I am just helping them as they don't "do" cars, just drive them. Nice car by the way, coupe, EX, LOADED! Too rich for my blood though....sigh. Maybe I will check and see how it does drifting! Need to knock the surface rust off the rotors.

remove each spark plug and squirt some oil into each cylander to aide in lubrication. Car will smoke for a few seconds but it will keep you from toasting your rings

If it's already running, don't bother with oil in the cylinders. Either it's not needed or it's too late.

Car's too rich for your blood, so you're gonna use it for drifting... Hmmmm???

Seriously, don't lock the brakes. Clean up the rotors like you'd break in new brakes. Brake hard, but let them cool down without coming to a complete stop.
