Hi I’m not sure if this is the proper way to ask a question but here goes. I have a 2001 accord lx that I just bought it didn’t come with a keyless entry remote and I’m not sure how to tell if my car even has the capability of keyless entry? Q2 I have a key fob from a 2017 Honda Accord will this program to my old car or is this to new of fob? Thanks and sry if I posted this in the wrong place

You need to do a little more digging into this perhaps, but with not much searching, here is a video about your door lock system. Following a link in his video, I found wiring information for your model years (1998-2002). This is attached in a PDF.
