Default 2002 Acura TL Sedan Trany and 99 Accord

Hi Guys, I have a 99 accord with a V-Tec engine. The accord is getting very rusty and pretty beat up. On the market now is a 2002 Acura TL Sedan with a problem with the Transmission for $1,600. Both are Automatic. Would it be possible to take the 99 Accord transmission which is good, and put it into the 2002 Acura TL Sedan? I am hoping this will work and I will make an offer on the Acura.

The Accord engine is a 4-cylinder and the Acura TL is a 3.2L V6. While nothing is impossible, this will be a major effort to complete. Easier/cheaper to either fix body on Accord or sell Accord and buy TL. Don't create problems w/ a unknown hybrid arrangement.

good luck

Hey Texas Honda, thank you for the info. I am not looking for a make work project and have not plan trying that swap. Up here in Eastern Canada cars take a beating from road salt. It just eats up everything. I replace front sub frame (common up here on these models) and it gets hard to fix if there is nothing solid to start from. I am going to keep shopping. Maybe I should fly south and drive one back!!!!
