2002 Honda Accord limp mode??
Ok i have a 2002 coupe v4. the car had a knock sensor code for awhile and i have corrected that problem. when i rev the engine in neutral it only revs up to 5000rpm. i have been searching on how to fix this problem but i have not found a solution. can someone please give me some answer to help me solve this problem. thanks in advance

FYI, Honda doesn't make a V4. It is just an I4. Or you have a V6.
Are there any other codes? Stop by a parts store and have them scanned just to be thorough. Give us the actual code number, like P1234.
Are the maintenance items up to date, like spark plugs, air filter, etc?
Are there any other noticeable symptoms, like poor gas mileage, idle problems, rough running engine, etc?

This is strange. Disconnect the air tube that goes to the throttle body, and push it out of the way. See if the engine will get past 5000 rpm in neutral when you rev it.
Did the engine rev past 5000 rpm before you did the knock sensor? Have you done any other work recently on the car?

I will try that later today. Well I bought the car that way. Didn't know how long the knock sensor code was on but I knew it was an easy fix. I been lookin online for this solution n I think the car put itself in "limp" mode. A new term I never knew. But the car does run smoothe the way it is. It just won't go pass 5k rpm
