Well that gen is known for having trans issues but I have to ask again...in neutral it has the same issue. So you have no codes, correct, and in neutral you have the same issue as when in drive.
The wife's '07 Pilot has a rev limit on it of some sorts. In park or neutral it will not let you rev the engine past?????something, can't remember-it cuts out. In drive (auto) you can stand on it an it will go to red line, or close to it, without any issues.
And no I don't try to race or go more the then the usual 5 mph over the speed limit...just every now and then I like to get to the speed limit as quick as I can. Of course that is only when she lets me drive it.

Yes same issue in drive. That's the part that is confusing me. I would understand if car was in neutral and I can hit redline but it revs only to 5k. Then in drive it's goes up to about 3k and then shifts gear but not smoothe. I'm ready to take it toa mechanic soon if I can't find a solution soon

Funny that it's getting no more error codes. It's almost like the ECU isn't getting a signal from the VSS; it might do that if it thinks the car isn't moving. But if that's it, it should throw a code for the VSS.

I usually try to rule out everything else first because blown ECUs are kinda unusual. I thought it was a smart@$$ way of asking you whether there were any other error codes that you didn't tell us about because you thought they were unrelated.
