Default 2002 Honda Accord Vacuum Leak??

My son-in-law changed out his 2002 Honda Accord's Head Gasket. Now the engine has a vacuum leak. The engine idle goes from 1000-3500 rpm continuously. He used a scanner and the scanner confirmed a vacuum leak. This part was left over from the head gasket job.
Does anyone know what it is for?? Is it the culprit. Where does it go?

Thank You

That looks like it could be a cap for 2 vacuum ports on the intake manifold.

I agree with PAhonda. Shouldn't be to hard to find.

Now for a really bad joke. Vacuum leaks really suck. Sorry.
