Default 2003 Accord sedan shop manual

My daughter has just bought a 2003 Accord sedan with a manual transmission. I checked Desert's links for a shop manual, but, as far as I can tell, there is nothing on them for an 03 shop manual.

Anyone know of a link to afreedownloadable shop manual foran03Accordsedan?

Thanks.

Never seen one for 2003. But those you mention seem to be British shop manuals - based on right-hand-drive & engine choices. By 2003 the British Accord is not the same car as the USA Accord.

Likely your only option is to buy the Helm manual. It's probably close to $100, but if you're serious about DIY, that cost will probably be recovered w/ your first project. Sure free is better, but operating w/o a manual is not cost-effective either. I've found the Haynes manuals to be the 2nd best option (much lower cost), but farshort of Honda shop manual.

One of my early DIY insights, was "you can't have too much information" on your planned repair. One little tip can sometimes make all the difference in a happy or sad outcome for your project.

good luck

Yeah. www.helminc.com but it's far from free.

I have the book for that car; it was probably $80 but it's an incredibly useful resource.

Did she get the V-6 engine? Then you'll need the V-6 supplement book in addition to the main shop manual. $$$

Luckily (IMO) she did not, so she won't need the suppliment.

I already know the value of a good repair manual. I posted this because I figured, what the hell, if there's a free one out there, why spend the money?

My daughter's husband is not a DIY'r, but I may just buy him a manual for Christmas anyway. He is a reader and he likes a challanging read, so maybe he'll take the manual into the bathroom for a sit-down instead of a Scientific American. (Considering his mechanical experience, he'll probably find the manual as challenging as the SA.)

Actually a Haynes book is mostly OK if you want to sound intelligent talking to your shop mechanic. The Helm book has a lot of detail that the mechanic can use, but if your son-in-law isn't doing the actual work himself, maybe Haynes is OK.
