I recently acquired this car with no owners manual. The dipstick has two holes near the bottom, and no other marks that I can see. How do you check the transmission fluid in this car, and where should it read on the stick?

First, if you register you car online with Honda of America, owners link (ahm-ownerlink.com) you sould be able to download the owners manual for your car.

For the trans, see manual you just downloaded to be sure, check after warming up the trans and within ~1 minute of shutting if off. Should read between the two marks.

 

Here are excerpts from the owner's manual. I am not sure how difficult it is to register the car on the American Honda website if their records still shows the original owner.

Poorman212 instructions are correct, as the check should be after warming up the transmission and ~ 1 minute after shutting off the car.

 

Mine has 3 dots. 2 close together near the bottom and 1 way up high. I'm guessing I use the 2 low ones and ignore the high one?
