2003 Honda Accord V6 Power steering
New the forums. I own a 2003 silver Honda Accord v6. I just surpassed 100,000 miles. I am experiencing a loud whine from under the hood when I turn my steering wheel on cold mornings. I think I just found the problem my searching the forums. I apparently have some air entering the power steering pump through the inlet joint O-ring.
Is this something that I can easily replace myself? I don't have much experience working on cars myself.

Never peronally done it so take the rest for what it is.
Should be two 10mm bolts holding the fitting to the pump. The hardest part is going to be getting the wrench/socket in at the correct angle to loosen the bolt(s)-memory from another post tells me one is difficult to get the proper angle. Not impos, just time consuming.
One of the other members might chime in-PA, Redbull, Jim, Desert, g22cd5, Texas, Kris-with better details. Have you changed oil, done brakes-just trying to get a feel for your statement "I don't have much experience working on cars myself".

It looks pretty simple to do. You could get a quote to see what a mechanic would charge.
This is covered in a TSB 07-086, just copy and paste the link into your web browser to get the pdf file. honda-tech.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=5850&d=1229542781
Here is a DIY in a different forum, do the same copy and paste. driveaccord.net/forums/showthread.php?t=42915
The only thing I would worry about is stripping the bolt head. I would not use that 12-point boxed wrench for my first attempt as in the DIY. I have stripped a bolt head using one of these in a tight space.
I would first spray that bolt with PB Blaster to penetrate the threads. I can't tell how much room you have to access that bolt. I would first attempt to properly position a 6-point socket wrench on the bolt. The socket must seat fully on that bolt head. If it will only go in at an angle I would not attempt, because you could strip the bolt head.
