2004 Accord EX exhaust
Hello,
The car I am looking at now has an "ebay stainless steel exhaust". He said the stock one rusted out. I was a little weary as he said that because he said the rest of the under body is not rusted. Is that possible? Also I wanted your thoughts on the "ebay" exhaust he claims to have. Do you have any opinions on it? He said it sounds good, but I don't want it to sound ricey. Do the stock exhaust cost much? Maybe I could swap it out. If I were to swap the exhaust what parts would I need?
Thanks.

it's not uncommon for exhaust systems to rust/rot out without any other rust under the car. they are made of bare rolled steel and not made to last more than 8-10 years, less in snowy, salty areas.
depends on how far upstream he started replacing parts. at the manifold? from the cat back? just the muffler?
you need to look for all the shiny parts.
and if it sounds ok to you, then just live with whatever he did...
