2004 Accord Headlights Dimming
I recently bought a 2004 Accord EX - 4 cyl, and have noticed the headlights dimming down for a second about every 35 seconds while driving. This happens only when the AC or Defrost is on. I took it back to the dealer and they said my battery was bad and replaced it. They said the alternator was fine, it was putting out 90 amps. I believe 90 amps is normal? They also said some dimming is normal. I am still having the issue after they replaced the battery and it is annoying me to the point that I am going to go insane. I am wondering if the guy in front of me thinks I am flashing my lights at him every 35 secs. I have owned a few other cars, including a 97 accord and have never seen this issue before. Also, I notice that when the fan or a/c kick on every 35 seconds, that it seems to only affect the headlights, not my dashboard lights.
Now I have read many posts about others having a similar light dimming issues but no one has ever posted if they found a way to actually stop this from happening. If anyone that had this issue and found a solution, I would much appreciate how they did it.

You could try a "big 3" upgrade. Some have experienced success there. You would probably have to DIY that though. I doubt many dealerships woulddo it or even know what you are talking about if you asked them about it. It's not hard. You may even have fun doing it!
