Default 2004 Honda accord ex v6 engine crank but no start

So a week ago my honda accord started then dies let it sit and got a jump she started right up ran great then a few hours later same issue started sputtered then died and now will only start when I spray starting fluid in the throttle body. Changed fuel pump still only starting with the starting fluid. Checked all fuses and relays plugs are good. I just don't have a clue what the issue could be. Ooh and I should add that a week prior to this the passenger side front motor mount broke and knocked the Serpentine belt assembly and pully off but I believe that's all fixed

Since it only starts when you spray fluid into throttle body I have to assume that it is a fuel delivery issue, since the pump is new I would chk to make sure that you are getting
power and ground at the fuel pump connector

If there's not any power to the connector we wouldn't be able to hear the fuel pump turn on right? Because we hear the fuel pump working. The reason why we changed it was because we were not hearing anything from the fuel pump

Since you hear the fuel pump working, there has to be a blockage from tank to fuel rail , just for the heck of it and eliminate a possible issue you might look under the fuel tank chk to see if it is dented inward
, if it is, it might be blocking fuel pick up by the pump, again if it is not, you need to chk for some sort of blockage , your fuel filter is in the tank, part of fuel pump so we have to assume that it is ok since you installed a new pump ,have you checked to see if you get fuel at the rails??

Do you have a scanner to check for engine codes?

I'd also add a few gallons of fresh gas to make sure you don't simply have an empty fuel tank.

For fuel to get into the cylinder, you need the fuel pump to supply enough fuel and fuel pressure. You also need the fuel injectors to open.

The challenge after the 98 accord is there is no schrader valve to check the fuel pressure. The safest way is to get a gauge set with adapters to tee a gauge into the fuel supply line. There are other less safe ways that you can search on youtube for checking the fuel pump.

You can test for power using a volt meter on the injector connectors. Each injector has 2 wires, where 1 wire color will be the same on every injector. That common wire color will have constant 12V to each injector with the key in the II position. Use the red lead of the volt meter on the common wire to an injector and the black volt meter lead to the - battery post. Alternatively, you can purchase a noid light to plug into the injector connector and see if the bulb flashes when you try to start the car.

we did scan for codes and no codes came up, As far as the 04 accords I was under the impression that there was 2 fuel filters the life time strainer in with the fuel pump and the one under the hood 😳 I also thought that since I can get it to start the spark plugs should be good. I plan to check the injectors tomorrow and go from there

I'm almost positive there is only one fuel filter in the system which is the strainer/filter on the fuel pump suction.
