99 accord no start (help)
Ok guys i need some help with this, I will try to explain this as brief but as detailed as possible.
I have a 99 honda accord 2.3 sohc this car will not start it will just crank forever. Replaced all plugs and wires, its getting spark and getting fuel to fuel rail. Replaced the EFI main relay, still wont start. The only way it will briefly start is if i hold my hand over the throttle body and even then its a pain to get started but it will only run for a few minutes then dies seems to only wanna start with my hand over throttle body. Does anybody have any ideas what this may be. I thought maybe a fuel issue but it wont even start with starting fluid.

Also...
Getting fuel to the rail doesn't mean its the proper pressure. Also doesn't mean the injectors are firing properly.
Will it start & run for a few seconds if you spray starter fluid into the throttlebody?

And I used a spark tester to check for spark, put it between plug and wire, has a clear housing and you can see it is getting spark on all cylinders. And it is on timing, ignition timing and belt timing is all correct. Im thinking maybe crank angle sensor is shot perhaps its just firing at wrong time I dunno what to think anymore

That spark tester can only verify NO spark. You may still have a weak spark.
When the spark has to jump the electrode under high pressure in the cylinder, the spark you saw with the tester may be a very weak spark.
Connect a timing light to one wire at a time and see if there is enough spark generated to flash the timing light. That is a better test for spark.
I would check for codes before assuming a bad crank angle sensor.

You know now that you mention it, I pulled a plug out the one day and put the wire on it, grounded plug to chasis and had my friend crank it over and the spark looked weak as hell... I will check that out more intensely. Thanks Guys
