Default 1997 LX V4 Driver side window not working properly

The driver's side window on our '97 Accord LX V4 isn't working correctly, as in the window will go down all the way, but only come back up about 5 or 6 inches. When the window is being raised back up it sounds as if it just comes to a slow halt, like maybe something is blocking the track that the window runs on, but I don't know. Any suggestions on a fix?

Search D1svF3Pmolc on YouTube.

This is a video on replacing the run channel. You may be able to just lubricate the run channel with silicone paste with the run channel and window in place. You will have to remove the door panel.

Thanks, I'll give it a go later and report back with my results.

I had this symptom a couple of times on windows and in each case the window regulator was broken (plastic turning sheave at top of regulator had failed due to overload...too much window load).

good luck
