Default Automatic tranny question

I have a 2008 accord coupe, 4 cyl with 50k miles on it. Honda trannies make me nervous so I def want to change the fluid in it now since we just bought it certified from a dealer but have no idea if the tranny has ever been serviced.
The fluid still looks red and does not smell burnt.

I was thinking of doing the old...
drain 3 qts, fill.
run car,
drain 3 qts fill.
run car
drain 3 qts fill.

In theory this changes out about 80% of the fluid. I also thought about going to a trusted garage and having a machine do a complete flush with BG synthetic fluid. I've heard good things about BG and the guy told me the BG machine has the proper hose fittings so as not to neck down the hose and cause undo pressure on the tranny.
I also heard WYNN machines are "passive" flushers in that they use teh power of the trans pump to do all the work.

Is one better than the other? Can I safely use BG synthetic fluid in the Honda tranny?

Check your owner's manual to find the maintenance schedule on your accord. I would not use any flushing machine on the transmission. Also, stick with Honda ATF.

If fluid looks good, I think a drain/replace is fine. Suggest sticking w/ Honda ATF.

good luck

A machine that doesn't push the fluid through, and only uses the transmission's own flow sounds good, but I would stick with Honda fluid. They have a new fluid (DW-1).
