Default 2005 Accord Euro gear change shudder

Hi, I've bought a 2005 accord Euro with 117000km on the clock and it has an intermittent shudder when changing up between 1 - 2 and 2 - 3; speed range 20 - 60 kph and revs range 1000 - 3000. it's an auto 5 speed 2.4litre Accord Euro, luxury, "7th generation". The stutter or hiccup happens as the transmission is in the process of changing. No engine warning lights have come on. Two transmission fluid flushes by dealer have not fixed problem. It varies from barely perceptible to shaking the car, and happens every time I drive. The dealer has so far responded only with the flush fix and I am hoping to get a better diagnosis and fix? How would a fluid flush fix this problem?

many thanks

William

Can you give us some more info on your accord? Engine size, transmission type, trim level (LX, etc)...

Did you manage to find out what the problem was? My Honda is now doing the same as yours.

Hi Justin, Well the car was a bit of a hassle. after going back to the dealer 5 times we did end up with the problem fixed. They repeatedly flushed the trans fluid and that seemed to eventually fix it. the last mechanic at the dealer said something about a locking plate in the transmission (memory is dim) as well. we had to go back 5 times as I said to get it fixed and fortunately it was still under warranty. at the same time an odd knocking noise appeared in the engine and the dealer replaced the engine with a lower km one and since then, no problems...
