Wife came home tonight and said the car was making a funny noise on her way home. Took it for a spin and turned right around because it sounded like the motor was knocking but only above 2500 rpms or so. It was dark but sounded like it was coming from the upper area right below intake and only if you rev it up. Sounds great at idle. Ive been noticing a squeaking noise when releasing the clutch lately and its about the time when I was expecting the clutch to go out. I checked the oil it seemed ok even though she was 1500 over her miles However she does baby the car, she is an excellent driver with it being a standard and always checkes her MPH every tank to maximize her gas

Any advice? Im going to mess with it the morning but hope the engine doesnt need to be broke down.

Its a 2004 Accord Coupe LX 3.0 V6 Standard 82k miles
