I just did my valve adjustment at 92k. nothing really needed to be done except spark plug replacement. Stupid me i i adjusted the 1st cylinder without checking if it needed adjustment. Reason why i did it was because during cold start the engine was cla cla cla cla a lot and when it wormed up it was fine. Well now that i adjuster the 1st cyl it cla cla cla all the time. Is it because i used .305 mm and not .300 for my exhoust side ? Thanks

Seems like that's a very tiny difference (0.305mm=0.012" & 0.300mm=0.0118")

I don't know the allowable range but maybe 0.30mm is the large end of the range. Try the next smaller feeler gauge.

Did you measure when the engine was cold?

Is there a tech writeup on the adjustment procedures? I found a thread from 07 that referenced a writeup in the DIY section, however those threads seem to have been moved to the general tech section, and I can't find what I need.

I have an 03 2.4 with 125K and there's a single valve that's very noisy. It sounds like a Honda, but if I can adjust it and make it go away, I'll be happy.
