2006 Accord 4Dr./4cyl P2185 Code
Hey everyone. I want to thank the many contributors I've already received help from just reading through the posts. I'm finally working on the 2006 Accord we bought for my son. It's had it's issues but the P2185 code remains the problematic child of the group. Changed the sensor (multiple times) and connector, changed the thermostat, checked the relay and relay housing and all appear to be working correctly. Fans work when jumped in the realy housing and when applied power via a power probe. They also work fine when running the A/C. They do not turn on when the engine starts and runs through a normal drive cycle however, and this is my issue. I've had the coolant temp up to 210 and still no fans (with all dash controls off). Vehicle is not overheating and it's drained a little of the coolant but not much. I'm understanding it may be a dead/dying PCM not sending a signal to the fans to turn on. Before I go that route is there anything I may have missed? If not, what all is involved with programming a new PCM? Any help would be greatly appreciated and follow up posts with the fix will be made post haste! Thank you!

Appreciate the help. The sensor is on the lower left (driver side) of the radiator on the 2006. The temp readings are from the Blue Driver scan tool, TopDon scan tool and a thermal imager on the coolant hose above and below the thermostat (so I know the thermostat opened).
Appreciate the help! I love BigDog50001. I watch him a lot. He's great. Unfortunately I've been through this video and the wiring diagram and everything was functioning as it should. I'm that guy that has the one in a million issue though so who knows what it'll end up being. Thanks again! Much appreciated!
Since you have a few scanners, I'd start by clearing the codes. Try to use your scanner to monitor the ECT sensor 2 voltage and temperature reading. Your scanner may be reading ECT 1 sensor on the cylinder head in the area where the upper radiator hose connects to the cylinder head. Try to look through the list for ECT2 or maybe coolant/radiator temperature to make sure you are reading the correct data.
If you have a PID for cooling fan command (on/off), then monitor that as well. You need to see what the PCM is seeing before moving doing some more tests.
