All you need is a Phillips head. I think there are three screws. If you locate it it's easy to figure out. There are many how to videos on YouTube. Just google it and you're looking for anything from years 03-07.

 

 

 

Since both fans are working and it seems you have found your issue with the driver side your a/c should be cooling as it should once the piece is replaced. Let us know how it goes.

 

Rather than replacing the blend door actuator because it would have taken an extra day to order the part and about $80 more, I tried to clean it following this . It was dark and dirty so hopefully it may work. The vent above the radio unit does seem to continue to blow cool air, even when not on recirculating and while the car is stop at a red light. So fingers crossed it may have worked. I haven't driven it much since the cleaning of it however so time may tell more. Although the vent above the radio does seem to be cooler (still not as cold as the passenger side), the driver's side vent near the door has not seemed to change.
The bend door actuator does shift from hot to cold air.
Both fans are still working so I am sure the blown fuse was part of the problem.
Any ideas about why the air vent by the door isn't really working?
Do you think an a/c charge would help?

 

Does anybody know about "reseting the system?" I was on cargurus.com and found where a 2003 accord owner posted she was having the same problem. The person trying to help wrote
The owner did not say if this worked or not. She did say that she had her actuator replaced.

I cleaned my door first also. It lasted me for about another 6 months before it gave completely out. Why are you paying $80 for a blend door. You can find them much cheaper with it being a reputable brand.

Resetting a system is new to me. Lol. I've never heard of it. If you have not checked your system or have not serviced it in a while that very well could be an issue. You're suppose to have your system serviced for it to work properly.

 

 

Another name for the actuator is blend door hence me calling it "door" for short. That was my fault should have spelled it out.

If you do not know how to test the system or have the equipment any auto shop can do an
a/c service. It is up to you who you want to go to. You do not want to go buy a can of Freon and add it in blindly. Some do it but it can cause an issue if you put to much in the system. If I recall correctly the a/c service is not on the recommended list. It's an item they say you service every year. I will confirm that.

 

I'm correct. A/C service is not on the recommended maintenance schedule. I service mine as I see fit. But the industry does recommend to have it serviced before every summer. That's a way to get money
