Arrow 2006 honda acord poor city milage

2006 honda acord 4 cyl highway milage ok but i get on hwy 15kms per litre but in the city i get onlty 8kms but suppose to get 10kms per litre
like full tank 50 litre in on hwy i get 750 klometer but in the city i get full tank 50 litre only 400 kilometer suppose to get 500 kilometer so in the city i am looseing 10 liter of gas tune up done by honda dealer tyre pressure ok32 but i notice in city when ever i stop on the red light some time you can hear as the motor go fast like the choke is on. when you drive its ok what can be the problem thanks

Since mpg on highway is OK, the problem is either your driving habits (heavy acceleration after each stop?) or severe driving conditions (lots of uphill/downhill?).

You would think that since you go downhill about as much as you go uphill, the mileage would average out same as level ground, but Mother Nature just doesn't work like that (never a free lunch!).

If your idle is too fast during stopped car, it might suggest an intake air leak somewhere. This might lead to poorer city driving than highway driving, but that's a guess. Inspect all vacuum lines and connections carefully.
