2007 Accord catalytic convertor replacement
Ive got a 2007 Accord 4 cylinder. The flanges on the catalytic convertor are shot. The front flange is so close to the meat of the convertor there's not much I can do to salvage it. Heres what I dont get. Its a PZEV SULEV whatever all the acronyms stand for. I dont know what to buy. It appears that the catalytic convertor is not the standard one based on what is sold on honda parts now. They have a carb compliant one. I was looking at aftermarket ones and they say good for 49 states. Im not convinced it would not throw codes though if its not the expected type. I dont live in California so the type I put on is not an issue whether it throws codes though is.
Anyone familiar with this?
Its out of the 15/150k warranty.
thanks

Thanks for posting. Ive managed to salvage the old one. Ground the welded on bolts down a bit and drilled a 5/16 hole through them. Fortunately the surface where the inner seal goes isn't rusted up. Looks like a hack job off the car but it will work!!
