Default 2007 Accord i4 scraping noise when turning

Yep another one of those name that noise questions.

2007 Accord 4 cylinder 115k

When making a left turn like your pulling in a parking spot. A rattle/scraping can be heard like sheet metal being scraped by something or vibrating against something. Similar to a loose heat shield noise.

Ive checked the dust shields on the brakes to make sure they are not making contact checked other heat shields as well. Put the car on jack stands took the tires off ran the car no noise so something about having the car loaded is making the noise. Checked for slop in the tires when the front was jacked up. Brakes have plenty of life in them still.

Also when reproducing the noise if you put the car in neutral the noise continues I hope that rules out something in the transmission.

Im going to check the rear to make sure noise is not traveling in some weird direction.

Im leaning towards a bad wheel bearing or axle but no idea how to investigate to find which one. Any ideas?

I'd lean towards the dust shield. Push back the dust shield around the edge to ensure there is enough clearance from the rotor.

Me too, but Ive inspected and bent each of them back a little bit. Also had the wheels off and put my head down there when the car was in drive and no noise.

Default Did you ever find out what issue was?

I also have 07 Accord, scraping noise from front. Unlikely brake discs, because it often will even do when parked if I slightly move steering wheel either way.
Thanks

Have you ruled out a rattling heat shield on the exhaust? Sounds can travel funny ways especially when you're listening from the drivers seat.

You stated : Also when reproducing the noise if you put the car in neutral the noise continues
Does that mean car is moving and you put it in neutral?? Or car standing still,,,If car is still then it is not the backing plate ,
if noise happens when car is moving only, have a friend drive car slowly , open hood, hop on fender and see if you can pinpoint where noise is coming from
