its loud enough to be a concern to me. Much louder than any other honda, or bmw for that matter, that I have owned.

It will be taken to the dealer. I live in flagstaff, and i bought the car in phoenix. I just havent gotten there yet. We do have a local honda dealer here, but this is the kind of thing that I want th eoriginal dealer to take care of. I notified my salesperson immediately, just to document it.

They also have to re-tint my front windows...I now understand the reason for the felt when tinting. This car needs it, b/c i have some rather noticeable scratches on the front windows (inside).

Did you bring it to the dealer...?
What is the result ?
Mine (V6 EX-L 6MT) have the same problem (small vibration during idle and low speed), plusmedium vibration when braking in hwy speed (65 mph).
Mine has 600 mi. I brought to a honda dealer ( not the same dealer that sold the car ), last monday, it took 2 persons to test it. The first guy said its normal could not find anything wrong.
The second guy (service mgr)...found the hwy speed braking vib. They said its the front disc brake....warping...so they resurface them. Itstake 24mi / almost 1/4 tank gas for them to test it.
And for low speed vibration..they said its normal...they said its because low profile tires.
ButI think its not.....its like small vibration...make your hand...icky.
The small vibration still there..evenon smooth asphalt. It probably engine vib. or steering, or suspension etc. Not rubber to road.
This is my first new car. I am very disapointed.
Idont know how to complaint this...because they said its normal. I wish there is member here has 06/07 v6 6MT in Oregon...so we can test the car.

haha.

once the chevy people took 50 miles to do the alignment on my M3. The BMW dealer had a chevy dealer on lot of the same franchise. They did the alignments.

they caught an earful for that.

I did take it to the dealer -twice - both times they said it was normal and that they drove three other EX V6's on their lot and they all do the same. This was the service manager working directly with me and I trust his word since Honda corporate was involved at this point in time. It's a minor thing, but something I don't expect out of a Honda. Also, it's not tires - it's the motor - tires couldn't do this when you're barely moving.

The tires are a separate issue and one that is actually more concerning to me. I've posted a report under that section, but in short, my car shakes like a tire is out of balance if I get on the freeway shortly after using the car after it has set for 3-4 hours - when it isn't yet warmed up. They have told me twice that it is a result of flat spots forming in the low-profile tires when it sits. It goes away after a few minutes. Again, not the end of the world, but I'm questioning my choice of an Accord over an Altima, which is probably heresy on this board, but.....Needless to say, I expect more out of a $250 Michelin tire.

Also, not to make you feel worse, but my dealer completely filled the tank in my car for my trouble. You should mention that to your dealer.

altima is a good car. depreciation is a lot more than an accord of the bat, but a very good car.

Dmullen,
Yeah, I feel bad they didn't refill the tank.
I am still thinking its not the low profile thing. We know the different between rubber to road vibration and metal to metal micro vibration.
If I check the car to an independent shop ( not a honda dealer )and they find something wrong, will honda reimburse the inspection cost ?
Anyway, When I test drove some honda cars, all cars has the same milage to begin with...26mi. Dodealers reset the odometer for every car after they get test driven ?
My car was delivered to dealer in Oct 2006...and I bought it Sep 2007.
I just wondering if my car had been driven very bad by any other test driver, thats why I get both disc brakes warped...and may be the tie rod or ball joint etc..get a little bit worn.

I think you are paranoid. The car has to be moved from truck to truck, as well as fully tested once it is built. I wouldnt have any concern about 26 miles, especially on a honda. I dont think it would be possible to damage anything like that in 26 mi.

I also doubt that a dealer has the ability to reset the odomoter. The would violate federal regulations.

Just enjoy your car!

Mine had 86 Miles on Delivery, so they must have 26 when they come from the factory and aren't driven on the dealers lot at all. The dealers absolutely can't/won't touch the odometer.

Also, I'm certain Honda won't cover any costs at another/independent service shop. If you're that concerned, I would escalate it at your current dealer (Service Manager, then General Manager and then ask for the regional Honda Rep) and/or try a different dealer.

Not to throwfuelon the fire, butI would not have let themturn my rotors when they're that new. I would have made them replace them. The reason is that at 40-50,000 miles, when you need brakes, they won't be able to turn them again because you can usually only turn rotors once, if that. So, that really ended up costing you $300 or so down the road, when it should not have. Instead of paying for pads/labor at that time, you will now need to pay for rotors as well.

Well, I brought the car back to the original dealer last week, Guess what...I got a loaner car. It has the same color, all accesories ( Including the wing..!! ) the only different are its I4 EXL, 16" wheels, and has nav. I like the voice command...that is cool feature. Turn out, it has the vib almost the same as mine..or sometimes worse...so...it normal. They couldn't find anything wrong with my car. So I am just paranoid because the warping thing.Well...this is my first new Accord....All my previous Accord were used. Honda makes excellent quality cars so the used one taste like a new one. ( In my case the new one taste like a used one...hehe ). I asked my friendsto test driven the car..he said it normal, and When I mentioned about the vibration..he said ....its Accord not a Cadillac.....!!
Now I love the car....will drive it coast to coast next summer.

you have 2mm(or slightly more depending on the model)to cut on rotors in the front, and when i cut them i take off only about .2-.3mm, which still leaves 6-7 more brake jobs assuming a compentant tech is working on it.

anyway, there is a sb about a vibration from an intermediate shaft heat sheild. it sounds likea tin can rattle or metalic rapid ping noise when it's bad. it only happens at speeds below about 25mph though on light acceleration.
