Default 2007 Honda Accord AC not getting power

Hello there.

I have a 2007 Honda Accord (CM5) with the K24A8 215k miles

I think it was about a month ago I started it up like normal and I had no power in my adjustable mirrors and the lights on the radio for the ac wouldn’t on. I’ve been digging around in it for a week now.

The clutch won’t spin in the compressor and all of the relays and fuses have been checked over 3 times now. I checked the relay in the dash and the cabin air filter all was well

Ive run down almost every connector I could find and reconnected them all over the engine bay, dash, and radio and wiggled the wires on almost every single one of them

If anyone has any ideas where to look or even an exact fix I would gladly appreciate it.

Thanks.

Treat each item (mirrors, a/c controls, and a/c clutch) as separate problems.

I'm looking at a US wiring diagram. Unplug the connector to the driver's side mirror connector in the corner of the door. Mirror up should have 12V on the blu/blk wire and ground to the blu/wht. Up should reverse the 12V and ground. Mirror left should have 12V on the same blu/blk wire and grn/wht should have ground. Mirror right should reverse these. Let us know if you are missing 12V or ground, or both to narrow down the problem.

How many wires go to the a/c compressor clutch? What are the wire colors?

Oddly only one. When I take back the shroud it’s blue looked above and under

The US accord wire is blue with a yellow stripe. For the compressor, unplug that connector, start the car, turn on the a/c. See if that wire has 12V and use a good ground for your black volt meter lead.

No dice, I used the subframe for ground got 0.07 (I guess just interference) then it dropped to dead 0 and stayed. Done once with only the ignition on and once with the engine running

Next test would be on the pins where the a/c compressor relay plugs into the fuse box. There should be 4 pins. When looking at the relay, you should have 2 larger pins that are of better metal (sometimes copper) and this is the high load side. The smaller pins are the control side. One pin for the load side and one pin for the control side should have 12V with the key in the II position. The control side pin that didn't have 12V, should have continuity to ground when the engine is running and you turn on the a/c.

I do suspect that your lights missing to the a/c controls may be the underlying issue for the compressor, but the above testing is pretty straight-forward. Let us know what you find for each pin.

What did you find out when testing the mirrors?
