Why does my 2007 Honda accord whistle when I accelerate (press on the gas pedal)? My check engine light is on and I already changed the Oxygen senor as well as the power steering holes as it was leaking the fluid. The light is still on after making those changes, and it still make the whistling noise as i press on the gas? Can someone help me find the problem. Thanks in advance.

 

1. The whistling noise may possibly be due:

• faulty drive belt auto-tensioner
• worn/loose drive belt
• alternator
• something else

2. For the Check Engine Light being on, get the trouble code(s) read and post the actual code numbers. Depending on where you live, place like Autozone, etc. may read the trouble codes for no charge.
