Default 2008 Accord - P0339 code help

Hi,

I have the P0339 code on my 2008 Accord (233K km).

Changed the crankshaft position sensor with an aftermarket one from Amazon and the car starts but the code will come and go and sometimes the car will be on limp mode. (if limp mode is not on, the car works fine)

I thought that maybe I needed an OEM one so I bought one but now the car just cranks but won't start. When I put the aftermarket one back in, it starts fine with no code.

Anyone here has dealt with this issue? Some help would be really appreciated, thanks.

PS: The starter was replaced with an OEM one from another 2008 Accord (scrapyard)

Is this a 4 cylinder or V6 accord? Any work done on your car not long before this code?

A lot of the troubleshooting requires a Honda (or equivalent aftermarket) scanner. On the 4-cylinder, a scanner is needed to do a crank position sensor relearn.
