The pass. door will not open from inside the car. The power locks sound like they are working, but the door will not open. It can be opened from outside only. I took the inside panel off, but everything looked ok. The two cables were still connected to the lock button, and the door lever. I'm not sure if this is a mechanical or electrical problem. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

 

It sounds like a mechanical problem. It may be a problem with the latch if the cables are okay. Even if it was one of the two cables (inner handle or latch cable) that was bad, the latch needs to be removed just to replace the cable.

On your car, the door lock actuator and latch is one assembly; not separate like some previous generation Accords. So, whether it is an electrical problem with the actuator or a mechanical problem with the latch, it is replaced as a whole.
