Question 2008 V-6 Idle drop

I brought my '08 V6 into the dealer last week because when it it idleing it will quickly drop about 200 rpm (just a guess) and then the engine will give a quick quiver and the RPM's will go all back to normal. This all happens in less than a second but it doesn't see might. This also happens with the A/C OFF so the compressor is not kicking on and off. Also the steering wheel is not being touched either. The dealer said this was normal and the computer did not show any misfires or trouble codes but I don't remember this happening before. The car has 59,000 miles on it and I take very good care of it.

Do they all do this? I think there is some sort of a problem.

It almost feels like the engine is missing or that one cylinder is not fireing but no codes show up. The engine just does not run smoothly at idle. Anyone have any ideas?

Check the A/C. If you have the ventilation directed at the windshield or up/down mix, it'll run the A/C anyway. Verify it's not running by watching the compressor clutch. You'll see the hub of the compressor pulley start & stop spinning.

+1

Make sure the defrost cycle isn't being engaged.
