2010 Power Seat will not go up - Driver side
The seat moves every way but only makes a loud clicking noise when I try to raise the seat. It will go down but then stops in the same place and begins to click. Thanks for help.
My TSX has 3 electric motors to slide front/back, raise up/down, and tilt the seat. There is also a tilt motor to recline the seat back.
Looking at the parts diagram for your car, it looks like there is only two motors (seat recline and another motor). I don't have a shop manual for a 2010 accord.
There are only a few items that would cause an electric motor not to work. A bad switch, bad wiring, bad motor, or broken mechanism.
I'd probably unbolt the seat from the floor tilt the seat backwards towards the rear seat and observe how the mechanics of the seat move in the up/down direction and what motor is making noise when you press that switch. Try to find the source of the clicking noise, but I'd advise to not put your hands into an area with moving parts as you can get hurt.
From your description of the seat moving partially up/down I'd guess the switch and wiring are ok and you are dealing with a motor or mechanical issue.

There are separate driver's power seat front up-down motor and driver's power seat rear up-down motor. Would you know which one is malfunctioning?
Regardless, if you disconnect the connector from the driver's seat adjustment switch, you can test the separate up-down motors by doing the following:
1. Disconnect the 12 pin connector.
To test the rear up-down motor:
1. With a spare piece of wire, insert one end into terminal no. 1 cavity (Blu wire) and the other end of the wire into terminal no. 2 (Grn/Yel wire).
With another spare piece of wire, insert one end into terminal no. 5 (Orn wire) and the other end of the wire into terminal no. 4 (Blu/Red wire).
Seat should move up.
2. To test front up-down motor:
1. With a spare piece of wire, insert one end into terminal no. 3 cavity (Lt Grn wire) and the other end of the wire into terminal no. 8 (Red/Wht wire).
With another spare piece of wire, insert one end into terminal no. 9 (Lt Blu wire) and the other end of the wire into terminal no. 10 (Wht/Blu wire).
Seat should move up.

Thanks. I found a diagram of the seat and motors using the VIN from Honda.
I need to order both motors just to be safe.
Next are step by step instructions for removal of seat (without setting off air bag) and swapping out the seat motors. I have not found a good video on YouTube yet.
We're still on the road and do appreciate the insight.

I have the exact same issue with a 2009 accord. The rear part of the seat will go up a quarter inch and then start clicking. I took the seed out but did not see a way to access the motors to replace them. Can you let me know if you successfully fixed it and if so, how?
Thanks
Mark
