4th Gen Trans issue

i have a 92 accord doing the same.i have to put it in first to get it to go because if i dont it feels like its slipping. could it be speed sensor or shift solenoid please help drivin me nuts

Suggest you start with checking for codes.....let us know what codes you get from the CEL and D4.
