great guide.. 2000 vtec 4cyl, thought I did all the hard stuff, no start signal to solenoid... using manual ecu.. removed isolator chip, now have flashing green key indicator.. jumped all the old AT wires as described... any ideas?
do I need to do anything with old AT connectors in engine compartment? this was on other thread, anyone know what these wires are for? "the easiest thing to do as far as wiring is to locate the big tranny plug in the engine bay. find the grey and red wire on the plug. strip and solder these 2 wires together. wrap with electrical tape"

Couple things come to mind...
Automatic-trans wiring harness has a neutral-safety switch, to prevent you from starting unless the transmission is in Park or Neutral. Got that jumpered? Or did you install the interlock for the clutch-switch?
New ECU means new immobilizer. That's the flashing green key. Can you get a key from the donor car where the manual ECU came from? If so, try holding that alongside your key so the RFID antenna can pick it up. But I thougtht that won't interlock the starter; it'll just interlock the fuel & spark.

Auto to Manual
Thanks Jim --- jumpered neutral safety switch... removed immobilizer chip from ECU.. supposed to work, but would result in CEL...
Will try to get Helms manual for all continuity checks...have Haynes, but don't think that has all the checks.. .will Helms manual troubleshooting point me in right direction?
Thanks!
