Default 5th gen light issues

I know this is an old post but I need some help. Have a '95 HondaAccord LX, bought w 62K, now has 96K. Electric doorlocks never worked- above you say to try the doorswitch...so that's my next plan on that. Problem 2, the dash lights went, checked fuses, replaced. nothing. If I press the light level button on the odometer area. it stays on -even longer if I keep it pressed in, but once I let go, the light goes out a few seconds later. Could the heat of Miami, where the car is from, have fried the electrical lines, or I guess, even just the age? Presently I use my Garmin when traveling at night just to know my speed. Plan on keeping the car until we hit 400K. Any suggestions?

I moved this as the 3rd gen and 5th gen are a bit different.....sorry about the title but I forgot what year is was....I'm getting old.

For the door locks, I'm sure you have checked the fuses. So from here do you have a volt meter to do some testing?

For the dash lights, again a volt meter is nice...check the fuses again. From there, pull the dash dimmer switch/**** and ground the RED wire with the headlights on - the dash lights should go "full bright"?
