6th gen. how many miles did your original 4 cyliner Auto Transmission last?

I strongly suspect most 6th gen owners around here are not the original owners of their cars (I'm the second owner of mine), and as such, you're not going to get much feedback. My advice to you is to simply drive your car, be diligent about replacing the ATF (use only Honda DW-1), and if the tranny fails, have it rebuilt with the latest aftermarket kits which have modifications meant to deal with the original design faults.

I hope this helps.

Just another data point; I purchased our 2001 V6 Accord in 2012 when it had 114,000 miles on the clock. While the car came with a number of records detailing engine oil changes and such, there was no log of any transmission maintenance (or replacement/overhaul work). I changed the oil in the tranny at 120,000, 150,000, 180,000 (when I did a 3x3 for good measure), and if I still have the car when 210,000 rolls around, I'll change it again. The good news is the transmission shifts as crisply now at almost exactly 200,000 miles as it did when I bought the car six years ago.
