6th gen knock sensor keeps breaking
Hello everyone,
I have a 2002 Honda Accord EX with an F23. I recently replaced the motor with a Japanese takeout F23, which had a broken knock sensor. I had just replaced my knock sensor in my old motor because it had broken as well. I checked my local junkyard for one; every single one of them was broken so I had to order a brand new one (they are just short of $100). Anyway, after noticing my mpgs suffering, I got a diagnostic check and found my knock sensor was broken again. I am ordering yet a new one, but has anyone had this issue with the 6th gen? And does anyone have any advice on how to prevent this from happening?
