Default 88 Accord 7 flashes

I have a 1988 Honda Accord LXi 2.0. The CEL is on so i checked under the drivers seat and counted the flashes. I am getting 7 flashes and the code for that is throttle angle. The car used to die when you come to a stop and stumble really bad and sometimes die when you take off. I replaced the fuel filter which was extremely nasty and that seems to have taken care of the dying when coming to a stop. I also installed a used IAC so that could have help also, the old IAC was missing the little screen on it so i dont know if that effected anything or not. The car still has the CEL on and runs considerably better but when you got to take off from a redlight or stop sign it stubles pretty hard, after you get going it seems to run fine. When you first start the car it idles a little rough with the CEL off and then the CEL comes on after a few seconds and idles smoother and a little high around 1100 to 1200 rpms. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, this is a great little car and i hope i can get it to running good. I checked around the FAQs and couldnt seem to find the same problem with one this old, i do appoligize if i have missed it. Thanx

I would suggest downloading 3rd gen shop manual from spooner link in Online Manuals thread in the DIY section.

The electrical tests for the throttle sensor are on page 12-24. You will have to back-proble the connector at those specified pins to do the voltage tests.
