Ok, sorry tried to take the laptop out side...won't do that again.
PLEASE, I'm using an 89 LX Auto.
The lines are switched up. Of the two coming from under the air cleaner. The one that is connected should be going to the capped line. The line under the air cleaner that is not connected should be going where the other one is. I'm not that good with pic's and that, can you PM me with a valid e-mail address and I can send a pic of the 89 if this is not clear?

Looks like it worked, learned something new today..good day. I'll have to check my settings, I sent you a pm with my e-mail address but since the pic went thru you should be on your way. A bit of a differnet angle but I think you should get it.

Just remember, from the factory the hoses are numbered. Hard to tell from the pic you posted but I couldn't see and numbers on the hose.

Yea most of them still have the numbers on them, metal and rubber ones. But the two in question on mine arent numbered anymore. I have a vacuum hose diagram but its hard to tell in 2D with like 100 different pipes and hoses.

try to pinch off the PVC hose that runs up thru the middle of the intake runners.......see if idle changes
