Default 90,000 miles maintanance

2000 2dr Accord 2.3cyl.

my check engine like came on so i took it in to the honda dealer. they did a diagnostic test and nothing out of the ordinary. they said that the "v-switch" needs to be replaced (whatever that is...) They also reccommended the 90000 mile maintanance. I plan on doing that with a friend.

I just wanted to know whats reccomemded.

timing belt, water pump, all fluids, sparks, belts, anything else?

One other concerningitem was, they said there was no oil in the engine. I had just gotten an oil change 1 day ago. i didn't notice any leaks or anything. any suggestions what that could be?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Oil Change: thoughts, the place that did the oil change forgot to add the oil (seriously.). Get a statement from the Honda Dealer, go back to the lube place and ask them why they forgot to add oil. They will deny it, so stick the statement in their face, make sure they didn't forget the oil filter.... I assume you haven't noticed any leaks?

Maintenece: do your seals in the timing belt area as well.

WOW,, this would have been at the top of my list.. but 1 thing that DOES NOT add up is that ,,if there was NO OIL as they say and you had the oil changed 1 day earlier ,, I would think that the first thing that you would have said was that THE OIL LITE was on,, and that there was a KNOCKING NOISE from the engine ,, unless you drove the car less that a mile or so and parked it ,, but even so the OIL LITE would have come on.. ASSUMING IT IS WORKING PROPERLY ..
Are you sure they said NO OIL ??? you should pull the dipstick and chk it yourself as well...
if indeed there was no oil,, you need to take the car back to whomever did the oil change, remove the oil pan and chk for possible bearing wear ( damage) ...make sure to take the statement from the dealer saying that there was no oil..

as for the 90k service,, there is a write up on our DIY section

The timing belt does not need to be changed till 104,000 miles (or every 7 years)in the 98-02 models. As deserthonda said you definitely would havenoticed something was seriouslywrong if there was no oil in the engine.Pull the dipstick out immediately and see if there is any oil on it.

most likely low oil. it is very common for oil change places to check the engine after they fill the engine but don't start it. once the engine starts, the oil level will drop by .5 qt. most places will will to half way between add and full.
