So previously I mentioned a stumble issue on my daughter's car that would magically clear up at random...

Later we noted that the ck eng light is off when it is jerking etc but when the check engine light comes on it runs like a bat outta hell...

So with me making a few runs around the neighborhood, I determined that if I tach out to 4K 'tween shifts and used engine deceleration I can make the light come on in the first few hundred yards but if driven slow and dainty it will do the "herky jerky" for many miles...

You can narrow down possibilities much easier by obtaining the Diagnostic Test Code stored in ECU. See DIY forum for procedure, and report back what codes are obtained.
