93 Accord EX runs great until restart
Hi guys,
I've searched and searched for an answer to this and didn't find this specific problem and wanted to get some feedback.
I have a 93 accord ex 5sp that runs great cold and continues to run great after it is warmed up. Can drive it all day long and it runs great, until, I stop somewhere, shut it off, and then fire it up again. Then it runs very rough off idle up to 2500 rpms and then completely smooths out again and runs like a champ to redline.
I have to slip the clutch like crazy to get it going and then no problem.
I've replaced EGR, plugs, wires, distributor and fuel filter. The 02 sensor could be a problem.
Any ideas?
Thank you!

I had similar symptoms (rough running after starting a fully warmed engine) w/ my 94EX. I pulled spark plugs and turned engine over to find a spray of water coming from one cylinder. New head gasket fixed problem. If you're losing any coolant, this may be the problem.
A leaking fuel injector allowing intake manifold and cylinders to load up w/ raw fuel might also cause similar symptoms.
good luck
