Default 90 accord clutch replacement

How involved is it to replace a clutch on a 1990 accord ex? To my understanding, you have to remove the shift cables, clutch slave cylinder and the electrical connectors and unbolt the transmission from the engine, take off the passenger side motor mount, remove the driveshafts and braces and then slide the transmission off the engine and drop it out from the bottom of the car. Is this information correct at all? any input is appreciated, thanks.

That sounds accurate based on the one's I've done.... In some of the older cars I had to remove the sway bar for some added clearance, I suggest picking up a manual and then you should be able to do it just fine.... getting back on/lined up is the slightly more difficult part...

yes get the manual and then just dig in. you will really not be able to research enough to realize everything that is going to happen when you actually change it. just make SURE to either get a new flywheel or at least have the old one resurfaced

It's acutally a pretty fun job... And listen to light: don't reuse that old flywheel unless it's resurfaced... of get a new one.

Might aswell do the main seal while you're in there. Good luck!

Something I just remembered from various experiences.... Most times it's faster to remove something that appears to be in the way (even if the manual doesn't say to remove it) than to "work around" it...
