90 accord stalls

RE: 90 accord stalls
main relay........the symptoms are not spot on........but its a common thing to go out on the 90-93's. it controls the operation of the fuel pump, and because of the pisspoor soldering job that was originally done on it, it can shut the pump off. it would happen most often when the car was warm. if you give us some more information we can probably give you a much better diagnosis.

RE: 90 accord stalls
Thanks for the info. The car has 270,000 miles on it. This started a couple months ago. It stalled and then I let it sit for a minute and it cranked back. I then drove about 500 miles that same day with no problem. The next morning, car cranks fine, I go about 20 miles, cuts off. I let it sit for a minute and then it cranks and I drive another 200 miles no problem. But since then, it has gotten progressively worse. Now, I can't go a mile without it stalling. BUt still, after it sits less than a minute, it cranks back up only to stall again.

I have a 90 accord that stalls. After sitting less than a minute it cranks and runs for a few miles and then stalls again. It always cranks again after sitting. Any ideas?

it would be ideal if you could hook up a fuel pressure gauge and drive car with it hooked up so you can monitor fuel pressure when car dies,,
the problem you are having could be a # of things ......main relay, fuel pump, ( lack of fuel ) ignitor, coil, ( lack of spark )
try this ,, when car dies,,

also remove a spark plug wire, stick a screwdriver in it, ground the screwdriver, and chk to see if there is any spark ,,,,,,,
