My 90 is getting a leak from the top of the radiator after it runs for awhile (ie 20-30 min of highway driving). I thought it was the cap and so replaced it but problem continues. Upper hose looks ok (no soft spots, cracks). Wondering if its possible for the upper tank to have a crack along its upper edge? Attaching pics of what the leak looks like.

 

The top of the radiator is plastic. Radiator needs replacement.

 

Should I not even bother pressure testing it? Any recs on a parts site for the radiator or should i go autozone?

 

You and pressure test if you want, but it looks like the crimp between the plastic and the metal is the culprit.

I've ordered Denso aftermarket radiators with success. Rock auto is a site I like to use. I don't know who makes the autozone parts, so I don't know the quality.

 

thanks PA. appreciate it. hadn't seen that site before. A Denso is 66 with shipping, while autozone wants 99 for their whatever part.

 

I second rockauto. They are much cheaper than going to any parts store in town
